The Library 2.0 Gang is a regular monthly round-table podcast hosted by Richard Wallis, joined by several contributors drawn from a pool of regulars from the world of libraries and the technologies that influence them, to discuss the topics of the day.

Each month The Gang will be joined by a guest relevant to one of the topics under discussion.

Gang Regular: Rob Styles

Rob StylesAs Programme Manager, Data Services, Rob has been working for Talis since 2004, focusing on the large databases that Talis has been involved with for more than 30 years, Talis Base best known amongst them. He is actively involved in developing new techniques and technologies to make traditional library data work harder, including work on representing bibliographic data in RDF.

Rob also has a keen interest in intellectual property law, helping Talis with its work on the Open Data Commons licenses. Prior to working at Talis Rob was involved in the successful internet bank, Egg and with other award-winning financial services sites. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Hull.
